What does this hatching egg mean in my dream?

I vaguely remember it, but I dreamed I found a large (about 7" long) blue egg with some others in a dark room. Apparently, the egg had been lost for quite a while. As I held the egg in my warm hands, I could feel the shell's surface began to crack and undulate. I remember feeling very excited as I alerted the others. Soon, a baby fowl emerged from the egg completely dry rather than wet, much to my relief.
