Noah, his family and the animals onboard found safety in the ark. What does the "ark" typify or represent?

Soon after the Creation story God gets real mad at everybody including innocent children and pregnant women. He kills all of them in a worldwide flood, BUT HE SPARES the animals, bacteria, viruses, NOAH, SATAN AND ALL THE DEMONS! The salt and fresh water FISH survived outside of Noah’s Ark on their own to become the symbol of Christianity!
